  • Is there a 10-star rating? If so, Dave Millar would easily get that. My journey finding a home in the Russian River area was not going to be a piece of cake for any realtor with whom I'd have worked. My budget wasn't a lot for the market, but Dave found me quite a few homes to see that fit my needs. In fact, he found three homes I wanted. When the first cabin started to make me uncomfortable during inspections, he had a lot of knowledge to offer on the subject and didn't hesitate to say don't do it if you're not completely comfortable. The second cottage was a much more desirable one, yet he knew what it would take to make an offer the sellers would choose in this hyper-competitive market. And he made it happen SUPER FAST. I closed in less than 30 days. I'm still amazed I'm living in my little Russian River cottage and thank Dave for that. Besides his experience and vast expertise about the area and the quirks of buying property here (and there are MANY), Dave is nice, funny, kind and RELIABLE. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

  • I'm quite happy to give Dave as many stars as available. For a dozen years, I owned two vacation rental houses in the Russian River area. He sold my first one a couple years ago, and my second one last week. Both were tricky, in the way country houses with no sewer, somewhat unclear boundaries, and patchwork building histories can be. Dave is absolutely at home in this world. He hooked me up with the professionals needed, caught a few potentially deal-killing details very early in the process, etc. His local knowledge is extensive. More important, he predicted exactly what would happen in terms of buyer interest, appropriate pricing, open-house traffic, and offers. Just got everything right. He was always available, always friendly and upbeat, meticulous with legal and other details, and flexible with my needs. Maybe most important, and rare in the world: he did exactly what he promised to do, in small and large ways. "I'll call you back" meant he would actually call me back. "I'll find out," meant he would find out. No B.S. Anyway, I'm done owning property in the area, but if I were ever to buy (or sell) again, I wouldn't go with anyone else. I've dealt with many other brokers, and Dave is easily the best.
